The Fire – aka the youth group at Rincon UCC – fed its desire for service by participating in February’s Souper Bowl of Caring. They raised more than $700 and nearly 100 cans of food for their local food bank.

Elevating St. Paul 

Update

*Ground was broken October 18th;

*The destruction phase is complete.

 *Construction began on Nov. 25th!

*December 2nd-16th plumbing and electrical conduit were placed and the

concrete for the new foundation was poured.

*From December 17-21 the steel frame was erected!! 

*The Capital Campaign continues in full swing.

In this tough economy most families could use a little help making ends meet.

Our exciting new ministry as a distribution site for the Angel Food Ministries program provides just that kind of help.

By acting as a national buyers cooperative Angel Food is able to negotiate better prices from suppliers (the same way Wal-Mart negotiates better prices).  Because of their enormous buying power Angel Food is able to provide around $65 of quality food for about $30.  To read more about how the program works click here.

The menu changes each month, but always provides enough food for a family of four for one week or a single person for most of a month. To see this month's menu click here.

There are no need requirements, no screening, no forms to fill out; anyone may participate in this program.

Most months, orders need to be in by the second Monday of the month and food can be picked up on the fourth Saturday of the month.  Orders can be placed in the church office or in the lobby between services on Sundays. Pick up is in the fellowship hall on the lower level.
